Admission Information

Applications for Levene graduate programs are considered on an on-going basis and in the order received. Apply as early as possible to ensure your application can be processed in time for your desired program start date. Applications received after the deadline are considered but may not be processed in time for the desired entry point, or in time to obtain a student visa. Deadlines are:

MBA, MHRM, M. Admin

  • March 1 for September start
  • July 1 for January start
  • October 1 for May start
  1. Application forms are submitted online to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research(FGSR). The application must include your CV and a personal statement. A 125.00 CAD non-refundable application fee is required. More information regarding the online application process can be found here.
  2. In addition to your online application, the following must be submitted to FGSR:

  • Two (2) Confidential Recommendation forms sent directly to FGSR by your referee. Please refer to the FGSR website for important details.

Envelopes must bear an official institutional stamp across the seal. Transcripts in any language other than English or French must be accompanied by a certified literal translation.
  • Official results of the applicant’s GMAT Exam (for applicable MBA programs)
  • International applicants must submit proof of English proficiency if their language of instruction in their undergraduate degree was not English. (score cannot be older than 2 years):

    • CanTEST: 4.5 with No Band below 4.0
    • IELTS (Academic Version): 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band

    • TOEFL Paper-based: 580/ Internet-based (DI code: 0830): 80 with a minimum of 20 in each of the four components

  • Note: If you attended a university recognized by the University of Regina and where the language of instruction was English, you may qualify for an exemption. See exemption list.

  1. Four-year undergraduate degree with a minimum grade point average equivalent to Canadian 70%

    • Applicants who have an undergraduate degree in business administration from a Canadian or U.S. institution, or from any internationally accredited business school (ie. AACSB or EQUIS), and a Canadian equivalent of a minimum GPA of 75% may be exempt from submitting a GMAT or GRE score
  4. Applicants without an undergraduate degree in business administration must successfully complete the MBA Business Foundations courses OR achieve a minimum of 70% GPA in each of the following qualifying courses (or their equivalent):
    • BUS 210
    • BUS 250
    • BUS 260
    • BUS 285
    • BUS 288
    • BUS 290
    • ECON 201
    • ECON 202
    • STAT 100
    • plus one additional undergraduate course.
  5. International applicants must submit proof of English proficiency if their language of instruction in their undergraduate degree was not English. (score cannot be older than 2 years):

Mid-Career option: Management professionals who do not meet the required GPA or those who do not have an undergraduate degree, but who have a minimum of seven years suitable work experience and have completed any 10 undergraduate courses with a grade of no less than 70% in each may qualify for the mid-career option. These individuals must also submit a GMAT score of at least 500 or GRE equivalent. For more information, contact Business.Recruitment@uregina.ca.

MBA Transfer Credit Policy Transfer credit policy allows up to nine credit hours to be transferred into the Levene MBA Program from other institutions. Courses being transferred must be approved in advance by the Faculty of Business Administration and the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research at the University of Regina. Advanced standing is available to students with approved professional designation or post-secondary courses. See here for more details.

MSc in Organization Studies

The Levene MSc program starts once each year, in September. Applications are considered on an ongoing basis, but to ensure your application can be processed in time for your desired start year, prospective students are encouraged to submit completed applications by March 1.
IMPORTANT: In advance of applying, prospective students *must* have a faculty member who has agreed to supervise their research. Applications without a confirmed faculty advisor will not be processed. It is the prospective student’s responsibility to find a suitable advisor prior to applying to the program.
Applicants must meet the entrance requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research and additional requirements:

  1. Applicants are normally required to have completed a four-year undergraduate degree with an acceptable grade point average equivalent to Canadian 80%.
    • Sealed and official transcripts from all former post-secondary institutions attended by the applicant sent directly to FGSR by your former institution(s). Envelopes must bear an official institutional stamp across the seal. Transcripts in any language other than English or French must be accompanied by a certified literal translation.

  3. Applicants are normally required to have successfully completed (with a minimum grade of 70%) the following undergraduate courses (or their equivalents) within five years of applying: BUS 260 (Introduction to Organizational Behavior) or PSYC 220 (Social Psychology), STAT 200 or STAT 160 (Introductory Statistics), and an upper year advanced statistics and/or research methods course (e.g., PSYC 405, BUS 413, STAT 354, SOC 404, etc.).
  4. Applicants must submit a Letter of Interest where they must specify a member of faculty who has agreed to work with them during their program.
  5. International applicants must submit proof of English proficiency if their language of instruction in their undergraduate degree was not English. (score cannot be older than 2 years):
