MBA
The Levene MBA is a 39 credit hour program (16 courses)* intended to be taken full or part-time. To suit your needs, courses are offered through evening, online, live-stream or one-week intensive delivery.

Five foundational business courses (9 credit hours) are required for those with an undergraduate degree in a discipline other than business or who do not have an undergarduate degree. The courses are:

  • MBA 701- Foundations of Organizational Behaviour (1.5 credits)
  • MBA 702- Foundations of Accounting (1.5 credits)
  • MBA 703- Financial Statement Analysis (1.5 credits)
  • MBA 704- Foundations of Marketing (1.5 credits)
  • MBA 705- Foundations of Indigenous Business (1.5 credits)

Levene MBA required core courses:

  • MBA 815 – Strategic Management (3 credits)
  • MBA 830 – Business, Government and Society (3 credits)
  • MBA 834 – Corporate Finance (3 credits)
  • MBA 880 – Business Analytics (3 credits)

And one of:

  • International Business
  • International Marketing
  • International Study Tour (3 credits)

Levene MBA in General Management
In addition to the five core courses, choose any five electives that best meet your educational and professional goals.

*Those with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration are not required to take 700-level Business Foundation courses.

Co-op Program Option
Co-op work placements offer an opportunity to earn while you learn and apply principles learned in class within a working environment. To be eligible for the co-op option, students must complete a minimum of four courses, be a full time student in good standing with no failing grades, and normally obtained a minimum CGPA of 75% before applying.

The co-op option consists of two work terms; either two separate four month work terms or one eight month work term. An option to complete a third work term is available. You are expected to submit a work term report after the successful completion of each placement. Should you achieve a placement, your co-op fee will be assessed in the semester that you are registered for your work term.

The Graduate Business co-op fee is set at two times the rate charged for undergraduate co-op students, plus full time mandatory student fees according to the fee schedule, as well as the International Surcharge where applicable.

M.Admin
The Levene Master of Administration in Leadership is a 30 credit hour program (10 courses) intended to be taken full or part-time. To suit your needs, it is offered primarily through evening, online or one-week intensive delivery.

Levene Master Admin. Leadership three required 3 credit hour core courses:

  • GBUS 817 Human Behaviour in Organizations
  • GBUS 870 Leadership: Theory and Practice
  • GBUS 874 Cases in Leadership

In addition to three core courses, choose four 3 credit hour electives from the following:

  • GBUS 815 Business Policy and Strategy
  • GBUS 860 Managing Change
  • GBUS 851AA-ZZ Selected Topics in Leadership
  • GBUS 865 Project Management
  • GBUS 871 Group Dynamics in Organizations
  • GBUS 873 Negotiation and Conflict Resolution
  • GBUS 875 Women in Leadership

To complete your program, choose three 3 credit hour GBUS 800-level electives OR One 3 credit hour GBUS 800-level elective plus the 6 credit hour GBUS 902 Practicum Project. Students selecting the project option must prepare and present a paper on a suitable topic of personal or professional interest. The project is supervised by a member of the Faculty of Business Administration.

The MHRM is a 30 credit hour program (10 courses) intended to be taken full or part-time. To suit your needs, it is offered primarily through evening, online or one-week intensive delivery.

Levene MHRM
four required 3 credit hour core courses:

  • GBUS 817 Human Behaviour in Organizations
  • GBUS 838 Research Methods in Management
  • GBUS 843 Strategic Human Resource Management
  • GBUS 862 Evaluation of Human Resource Practices and Systems (Prerequisite GBUS 838)

In addition to four core courses, choose three 3 credit hour electives from the following:

  • GBUS 844 Labour Relations & Collective Bargaining
  • GBUS 846 AA-ZZ Selected Topics in Human Resource Management
  • GBUS 863 Staffing Organizations
  • GBUS 864 Compensation
  • GBUS 868 Occupational Health and Safety
  • GBUS 872 Managing Activist Employees
  • GBUS 873 Negotiation and Conflict Resolution
  • EAHR 811 Program Evaluation
  • EAHR 850 Research In Adult Education

MSc in Organization Studies

Master of Science in Organization Studies

Levene MSc three required 3 credit hour core courses:

  • GBUS 817 – Human Behavior in Organizations
  • GBUS 838 – Research Methods in Management
  • PSYC 802 – Applied Multivariate Statistics

In addition to these three core courses, choose three 3 credit hour electives from the following (or any relevant graduate level course recommended by the faculty advisor and approved by the Faculty of Business Associate Dean Research and Graduate Programs. Note: This could include directed readings courses with the faculty advisor relevant to the student’s area of research):

To complete your program you must complete a thesis project worth 15 credit hours.
